“I take photographs with love, so I try to make them art objects. But I make them for myself first and foremost - that is important.”— Jacques-Henri Lartigue
Since I can remember photography has always been a passion. From the moment I tried to capture the essence of NYC with my Kodak Disc camera to the last "frame" shot in San Francisco on my Nikon DSLR. My love for photography has led me to photograph F-14 Tomcats taking off from a US aircraft carrier to the rice paddies of Indonesia and on to a bazar in the heart of Tehran.
The United States Navy provided me with my formal photography training, it was more technical than creative; the creativity I sought on my own. Since leaving the military the advancement of digital technology has pulled me out of the darkroom and set me in front of Photoshop, with ten years of experience I can do most post-production that is asked, although I still prefer the simplicity of a high contrast black and white photograph.
I am available for assignments ranging from architectural to sporting events in the San Francisco Bay Area; if you are in search for a stock image of something Northern California specific, but have been left disappointed by what is available online, contact me.
